MODULATE.NET is the personal portfolio of Eli Carrico. Feeling the title graphic designer is outmoded and too narrow a job description, the moniker commercial artist has been resurrected that better reflects the flexibility of his output. The foundation of Eli’s work is to create bold and singular visions across a variety of media.

Recent history has found Eli permalancing for bi-coastal directing/motion graphics studio Brand New School; designing and art-directing for such brands as Adobe, Coke, Virgin Mobile and Sony.

Prior to BNS, Eli reinserted himself into academia– receiving a MFA from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in 2005. Pursuing an MFA from CalArts was a natural extension of his undergraduate degree earned in 1998 from Eastern Michigan University– a program populated by alumni of Cranbrook/Calarts’ postmodern golden generation.

Preceding CalArts, Eli was design director at a NYC-based mobile messaging technology company handling everything from company identity and marketing materials to the design of database driven UI templates for 3rd party clients.

Currently based in Los Angeles, Eli is open to opportunities home and abroad and is always seeking interesting clients and collaborators.
